    CHEETAH BABY

    SKU: SC14866 Categories: , ,
    5.00
The sassy cheetah baby looks so cute with its beady little eyes and black snub nose. At birth it weighs only 300 grams, but by now it’s already had some time to grow. You can tell right away that it’s a cheetah baby by its typical black spots. It playfully raises a paw – I think it wants to catch something. Maybe a leaf blowing in the wind? Or has someone thrown it a ball of wool?

Like most big cats, our Puma from schleich® WILD LIFE is an excellent runner. That’s why you always have to time how long it takes to sprint from your bed to the kitchen table and back again during training. But the wild cat isn’t just fast, it can also jump really far – a full 5 meters! That’s as far as from the front of the bus almost all the way to the back. And when our Puma manages that it always lets out a loud cheer. It doesn’t sound like a tiger or a lion. Our Puma can’t roar like that. It prefers to be a little quieter. At least it won’t wake you up during the morning training.

Dromedaries live in the deserts of Africa and Asia. They eat mostly leaves, dry grass and thorny plants. The hump of the mammal isn’t used to store water; it stores fat. If they can’t find any food in the desert they can live off it for weeks. The dromedary from schleich® WILD LIFE has eaten well recently and has an upright, well-filled hump.

Attention, poisonous sting! It’s a big one. Our Emperor Scorpion from schleich® WILD LIFE is one of the largest scorpions in the world. It is most often found in tropical African forests, in underground caves or under large rocks. The giant insect looks dangerous, but actually isn’t at all. In fact, the arachnid is known for its calm nature. The dark scorpion likes playing with you on a quiet, freshly mown lawn. And drinking delicious juice – preferably orange. This scorpion also prefers to use its armor for decoration instead of protection as you enjoy the sunshine together. It shimmers beautifully in the light. Do you see it?

Ranger Steve experiences something new every day with his animals in the new schleich® WILD LIFE adventure station! His first visit of the morning is to the two small tortoises that are already playing and sliding down the hill without a care in the world. The sweet little monkey is also having lots of fun on his branch slide! What’s all that noise? The black panther and the crocodile are arguing over who gets to curl up in the burrow! Ranger Steve quickly crosses the suspension bridge to break up the fight. Be careful: Some of the wooden planks on the suspension bridge are rotten! Ranger Steve must take care to ensure that he doesn’t fall. Will he manage it?

  • FEEDING THE FOREST ANIMALS

    SKU: SC42658 Categories: , ,

The animals in the forest are happy as can be, because they can always find something to eat in the feeding trough. There’s something for everyone: the Red Deer Doe and her calf are happy about the food pellets, but they both also enjoy crunchy carrots. The shy hedgehog also likes to come by. The squirrel slips curiously through the feed hatch into the manger. Maybe it will find a nut? In any case, it has found a cozy hiding place under the roof. Up there, it can also see the forest farmer coming along in his car (playset sold separately).

Elephants are known as being thick skinned. However, their skin is so sensitive, they can even get sunburnt. That is why elephants often throw several layers of mud on themselves. This pleasant “cooling pack” also combats the scorching heat. While elephants cannot hear any better than other animals with their huge ears, they help them to cope with the African heat. When they fan with their ears, the blood cools down and provides them with refreshment.
