BIO ACTIVITIES STACKER
More than 12 months
· Teach your baby how to stack the cups, the biggest first
· Have fun building together but also knocking them down!
· Show your baby how the cups also fit inside each other
· Float the toy glasses in the water at bath time
More than 18 months
· Cups can also be used effectively when playing with sand – use dry sand to pour from one to another and wet sand to show your child how to build exciting sand castles.
· Hide a small object under one of the cups, allowing your child to clearly see which one. Then mix up the cups and ask your child to pick up the cup with the object.
BIO AMBULANCE
6+ months
· Encourage your baby to push/roll the vehicle from place to place; praise any movement to follow it. Try starting a game where you push the vehicle back and forth.
BIO FISHING GAME
More than 12 months
· At bath time, introduce your baby to the three cute fish and their little worm friend.
· Dip the fish and show your child how they make bubbles under water.
· Show your baby how to take the fishing line to try to catch a fish with the worm and then reel it in.
· You may need to help your younger child hold the rod with one hand and wind with the other; older children will soon get used to it.
· Introduce basic counting skills by counting fish together.
· Teach your child to take turns with you and have mini fishing competitions. Count how many fish are caught in a given time period.
· You may like to make up simple stories or sing songs about fish to increase your child’s enjoyment of bath time.
· Be positive and use upbeat language to encourage your toddler and make him feel successful.
