Description

The circus has come to town! Under the tent, jugglers, clowns, magicians, conjurers and wild animals capture the curiosity of a devoted audience that applauds non-stop. After each performance, your little troupe accumulates fame and may one day attract the interest of P. T. Barnum, the greatest circus magnate of all time.
Designed by Fabio Lopiano (Merv, Autobahn, Calimala) and Rem Conzadori and illustrated by Edu Valls.

Your goal is to hire artists and perform in various towns and cities, with the intention of gaining fame. In towns, the functions are easy to set up and give you initial resources to improve your roster; small towns are a bit more demanding, but they allow you to get in touch with better artists; the public in big cities is even more demanding and wants to see very specific numbers, but performing here gives you much more fame!
On their turn, players will be able to hire an artist or offer a function. At the beginning of the game each player’s circuses are empty, with which it will be necessary to hire in order to form the company. Artist cards will grant more or less benefits depending on the order in which they perform, so one of the keys to the game is to plan the shows that will be offered very well.
If they decide to act, the players must move to an empty square on the map. If it is a village, they will receive the currency cards, the most basic ones, as a prize. If they act in a small town, depending on the number of pedestals they have in their company, they can claim more or less entry cards (the second most valuable) or fame points. In the big cities you get a lot of fame points, but the public is more demanding and always demands a specific type of artist.
While your little circus tries to survive, Barnum’s Big and Splendid Circus travels across the country, and when it arrives in a big city, a score is held in that region: the circuses that have performed the most acts here will gain even more fame .
With carefully crafted art that evokes circus posters from the late 19th century, 3 Ring Circus will appeal to players looking for a solid theme with quality components. Also those who enjoy planning strategies will have a great time managing their hand to assemble the most efficient company, which allows them to add more victory points in their actions. In addition, the game includes a solitaire mode designed by David Turczi (author of games like Imperium and other solitaire modes, such as Bitoku).
Don’t miss out on tickets to the biggest show in the world!
