Description

This game is in Spanish

You have gathered with your friends at the hippodrome to have a great time: A whole day cheering, booing and betting on your favorite horses! Place your bets in real time while the dice move the horses along the track.

Designed by John D. Clair (Space Base, Cubitos, Dead Reckoning, Mystic Vale) and illustrated by Kirk W. Buckendorf and Athena Cagle, A day at the races can be enjoyed as a couple or in groups of up to 9 players, from 10 years, in sessions of between 45 and 90 minutes.

A day in the races is played in 4 rounds. In each round, players will bet on a horse as the race unfolds. At the end of each race, the players win or lose money with the bets they have made. In addition, players obtain special rewards and bet on unusual legacies. After 4 rounds, the player with the most money will be the winner!

With very few rules and different game modes, Un día en las carreras is a very versatile title that adapts to any situation. In each game, one of the players can assume the role of Casa, who directs and broadcasts the race, or you can choose to use a free application that performs this function, automatically rolling the dice. With each roll, the horses will advance on the board until one of them crosses the goal. While the race progresses, the players will bet simultaneously, as fast or slow as they want; however, tokens cannot be placed in spaces already occupied and once placed a token can no longer be removed. There are all kinds of bets, from trying to guess the winning horse (which finishes in first place), to those who finish among the top two or three or even for those who finish last. Once the race is over, the bets are settled and the money is distributed.

Emotion, sudden script changes and laughter are guaranteed in a game of Un día en las carreras. As it happens in racetracks, the outcome of a race is always uncertain. The horse that goes in the head can be overtaken at any time. Will you bet immediately to ensure the best odds? Or will you wait to see how the race develops and bet in the last seconds? The choice is yours in this real-time horse racing betting game.
