A DIY science and astronomy kit to build a mechanical model of the Solar System. It allows kids to rotate the eight planets around the Sun manually without batteries

Description
Product Details

Explore the wonders of the universe with the Solar System Construction Kit by Kosmos. This hands-on science kit helps children observe and better understand the planets in our Solar System while introducing them to fundamental astronomy concepts. Before bringing the cosmos to life, young astronomers will enjoy assembling the model step by step, creating the Sun and the eight incredible planets that orbit around it—each moving at its own realistic relative speed.

Thanks to its compact size, this space model is easy to handle and fits perfectly on any study desk or bedroom shelf as an eye-catching decorative piece. A major feature of this model is its fully mechanical design: it is powered entirely by hand by turning the dial at the top of the Sun, meaning it requires no batteries at all. It is the ultimate STEM educational toy to feed children's natural curiosity about outer space, orbital motion, and celestial phenomena like solar eclipses.

What's in the box: All necessary plastic pieces to build the Sun and 8 planets, mechanical gears, and an educational astronomy instruction manual.
Extra tools required (not included): Side cutters or scissors, and a small file to smooth the plastic components.
Technical Specifications:
- Theme: Astronomy, STEM science, and mechanical modeling.
- Operation: Manual gear-driven mechanics (battery-free).
- Product Size: Approximately 35 cm in diameter when fully assembled.
- Recommended Age: 8+ years old.
