El fresco de la catedral está en mal estado y urge su restauración. El obispo espera una visita muy importante y quiere mostrar todo el esplendor de su iglesia. Por eso, contrata a los mejores pintores de país para restaurar el estropeado fresco del techo de la catedral y devolverle su esplendor. Los jugadores se meten el papel de pintores de frescos en este colorido juego familiar para demostrar sus habilidades, pero sólo ganará el que mejor planifique sus jornadas.
Los jugadores toman el papel de pintores de frescos que, por orden de obispo, tendrán que restaurar el gran fresco del techo de la catedral y restaurar su gloriosa imagen para la vista de todos. Para conseguirlos deben planificar bien sus jornadas, con lo que levantarse temprano o más tarde tiene sus beneficios y consecuencias. Es necesario comprar pinturas para el encargo de la catedral, mezclar nuevos colores y restaurar el fresco. Si los ingresos se agotan, entonces es necesario aceptar otros encargos para realizarlos en el estudio propio. A menudo los ayudantes están de mal humor y sólo una visita al teatro puede ayudar a que se animen… Sólo aquel que planifique bien sus jornadas conseguirá la mayor cantidad de puntos, convirtiéndose en el pintor de frescos más exitoso.
